The Unleashed Brotherhood Community

NOT ANOTHER LEADERSHIP PROGRAM.

THIS IS THE COMMUNITY FOR ACCOMPLISHED BLACK MEN TO SHOW UP FULLY, UNLEASH THEMSELVES, AND BUILD THEIR LEGACY…TOGETHER.

This is a place where you can be a Brother.

LONELINESS HITS DIFFERENTLY FOR US

I believe accomplished Black men are among the most under-supported and invisibly lonely leaders in the world.

When I say loneliness, I'm talking about being disconnected from who you are.

I CREATED THIS COMMUNITY FOR MYSELF.

We were the poor Black family in the White middle-class neighborhood. There were fewer than five Black families at my elementary school. I wasn't bullied. I just felt disconnected. It felt different.

In sixth grade, everything changed for me. My family moved to South Phoenix, a poor community where most of the people around me were Black. I thought being around people who looked like me would feel like belonging. Instead, I was teased and bullied because I spoke proper. Because I spoke White.

One kid asked me this question, and it has followed me ever since:

"Why do you talk like you're White?"

I didn't feel Black enough or White enough.

As I became more accomplished, being the only Black man in the room became familiar. I was a Black Network Engineer at American Express. We made up less than 1 percent of the Technologies organization I worked in.

I learned the smile, the voice, professional mode, and how to code-switch.

Being the only Black man in the room felt more comfortable than being in a room filled with Black men.

I wanted that to change. I wanted a space where I could be shoulder to shoulder with other accomplished Black men.

So I created it.

I'm the founder and the first member.

When I say accomplished, this is what I mean:

When you look back, you can clearly see what you’ve created and the man who showed up to create it:

You took action, stayed focused and endured.

Black is carrying Black lineage.

Man is being born male.

This is a curated brotherhood. Who is in the room matters. Every Brother applies and speaks with me before entering.

An application does not guarantee an invitation.

You walk into the room and do two jobs.
You do the work you came there to do while tracking your Blackness.

You edit yourself before you speak.
You carry the weight of representation.
You are a barometer for how people judge people who look like us.

You learn how to make other people feel safe around you.
You use the smile, the voice, and professional mode to communicate:

I'm welcoming. I'm safe. I'm not THAT Black guy.

Then you leave the room and carry all of it alone.

YOUR VOICE

You think about what you want to say, but don’t speak up, and the moment passes.

YOUR SUPPORT

You become the one people stop checking on because you're the successful one.

YOUR OPPORTUNITIES

You don't step into rooms that could benefit you and when you do, you keep your shields up.

YOUR BELONGING

You can be surrounded by people and still feel misunderstood and lonely.

THIS IS FOR YOU IF YOU'RE AN ACCOMPLISHED BLACK MAN WHO WANTS...

  • To be with accomplished Black men who share your core values and understand the experience of leading in a White world, without explaining, editing, or managing your Blackness.

  • To be known as the man you are, not only for what you've accomplished.

  • To receive support instead of always being the accomplished Black man everyone relies on.

  • To speak the truth, be challenged, and stay in relationship.

  • To build emotional resilience and expand your capacity to stay connected to who you are when fear is present and something important is at stake.

  • To bring what is heavy, what is good, and what you're building, with room to laugh, talk about regular life, and just be with accomplished Black men.

  • To build your legacy with accomplished Black men instead of carrying it alone.

HERE, YOU GET TO BE A BROTHER

I lead the room and stand shoulder to shoulder with you as a Brother.

Here, you can take action with fear present and with all of your heart.

Unleashed is unapologetic courage.

That courage is how you build your legacy.

I define legacy as changing what's possible for us, the people we love, and the Brothers coming up behind us.

The right community contributes to belonging.

Together, we move from loneliness to legacy.

FROM ACCOMPLISHED BLACK MEN WHO HAVE WORKED WITH ME

Some names have been changed for confidentiality

Being from a military background, us being in this group is a form of camaraderie. I miss that kind of format. Even though the businesses say they know what camaraderie is, they don't. Because camaraderie is like life and death in the military.

— JD MCCREARY, Entrepreneur

There's no other call that I've had on my schedule that I'm like, I need to be on that call, and I want to be on that call. This is a needed space. It's something I didn't know I need. I need this space. I want this space. I want this in my life.

— dominique ricketts, business owner

This is what happens inside.

Every month, we have four live calls. Each month has a theme.

Week one: We spend time in the past and own our accomplishments.

Week two: We stand in the present and name what we're deeply yearning for.

Weeks three and four: We work on the future and build our legacy.

Every call is recorded and available to every Brother.

Between calls, we stay connected in our private online space through the Poll of the Week and Question of the Week. Each week, you take two to three actions.

THIS IS HOW WE SHOW UP

We show up. We speak the truth. We bring our wisdom, our wounds, and our wins.

We speak from I. We hold what each Brother shares in confidence. We challenge each other and stay open to it.

100% + 100%. I take 100 percent responsibility. So do you. Together, that's 200 percent responsibility.

THIS IS YOUR INVESTMENT

Founding Brothers invest $100 per month or $1,000 per year. Founding Brothers help establish how we show up and what this Brotherhood becomes.

The Founding Brothers investment is available through September 15th. After that, the investment is $300 per month or $3,000 per year.

There are no refunds.

THIS IS YOUR NEXT STEP

Becoming a Founding Brother has three steps.

One. You tell me why now is the right time.

Two. You hear from me personally within two business days.

Three. If it's right, we will have a conversation, and together we decide if The Unleashed Brotherhood Community is right for you.
